A Collection of Some of My Latest and Greatest Works
One Designer. Multiple Perspectives.
I self-taught myself how to use Adobe Creative Cloud programs in the fall of 2018. At the time, I was working as an intern in the Junior High Ministry at Saddleback Church Lake Forest. I was tasked with helping develop some game ideas and a few flyers to hand out at church services. Without the aid of online courses or YouTube videos, I jumped straight in, downloading Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and using trial-and-error to figure out how these programs worked.
I've come a long way since then. I have taken two classes relating to Adobe Creative Cloud at Cal State Fullerton: a Digital Foundations course (COMM 317) and Interactive Media Design (COMM 380). In these classes, I've grown my skillset and gained hands-on knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Dreamweaver. I have also begun to teach myself how to use Adobe Animate and Adobe Character Animator. I will be taking an Advanced Media Design class as well in Spring 2021.
I use these skills mainly for creating print, broadcast, and social media graphics for the Trabuco Hills High School Track & Field program and for in-house work at my local YMCA. However, I present these samples as evidence of my work and out of hopes to be able to use these skills and further refine them in an internship or job opportunity.
TRABUCO HILLS TRACK & FIELD
Mission Viejo, California
I work at Trabuco Hills High School as the Director of Communications, where I am tasked with creating and implementing social media strategies and brand promotion initiatives, overseeing social media platforms and presence, creating brand imaging and graphics, and developing captivating content. In the downloadable portfolio below, you will find some samples of logos, shareable media, posted content, and print media from the past year at Trabuco Hills.
MISSION VIEJO FAMILY YMCA
Mission Viejo, California
Since reopening our doors in June 2020, following the initial California statewide shutdown in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, I have been asked to help create some marketing and in-house materials for the Mission Viejo branch of the YMCA of Orange County. This consists mostly of flyers, which are printed and displayed throughout the branch, as well as offered to members. Some flyers are also used in-house for staff communication and information.

INTERACTIVE MEDIA DESIGN
In the Fall of 2019 and the Spring of 2020, in order to pursue professional development and grow my skill-set in the realm of digital media, I enrolled in two digital media communications classes at Cal State Fullerton. These classes taught skills in some of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications; including Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. Below is a sample of an HTML page created using Dreamweaver, but with elements created in Illustrator and Photoshop.
